⚠️ Important: Team Check-In Requirements
If you're playing Best Shot (team format), there's something important to know:
All team members must be checked in before the scorecard unlocks
The scorecard won't appear until everyone on your team has checked in
This ensures your whole team is present before you start entering scores
What if a teammate doesn't show up?
If someone on your team can't make it, contact a tournament committee member immediately
They can override the lock and unlock your scorecard manually
Don't wait at the tee - find a committee member right away so you can start on time!
Team Scorecards - How They Work
When playing Best Shot (team format), your team shares one scorecard:
Everyone sees the same scorecard - It appears on all team members' phones/devices
Anyone can enter scores - Any teammate can input the score for a hole
Changes sync instantly - When one person enters a score, it updates on everyone's screen
Scores apply to all - Since you're playing as a team, the team score counts for everyone
This means:
You can divide the work - one person drives the cart, another enters scores
If your phone dies, a teammate can continue entering scores
Everyone can verify the scores are correct on their own device
Tip: Designate one person as the primary scorekeeper to avoid confusion, but know that anyone can help if needed!
Understanding the Scorecard
The scorecard shows all 18 holes with:
Hole Number - 1 through 18
Par - The expected number of strokes for that hole
Your Score - The strokes you've entered
Entering Your Score
The scorecard starts at your starting hole (assigned by the committee)
You'll see a large input area for the current hole
Enter the number of strokes your team took
Click "Lock & Next" to:
Save that score (it can't be changed after locking)
Move to the next hole
Continue until all 18 holes are complete
The Summary Table
Below the main input, you'll see a horizontal table showing:
All 18 holes at a glance
Par for each hole
Your locked scores (shown with a lock icon 🔒)
Scores under par shown in red (birdie, eagle)
Scores over par shown in blue (bogey, etc.)
Submitting Your Scorecard
After entering all 18 scores:
A "Submit Scorecard" button appears
Click it to finalize your round
A confirmation dialog will ask you to confirm
Once submitted, your scores appear on the Leaderboard!
Note: Submitted scorecards cannot be changed. Contact an admin if there's an error.
